The Grouse Grind
I think I'll hate my sister-in-law forever now. She convinced me to do the Grouse Grind (hiking to the top of a ski hill in Vancouver) with her. I don't think I made it 200m before my calves were burning and I was thinking of turning around and heading back down. However, since she is a girl, I couldn't give up without losing my pride ... 2h later, we made it to the top. It was quite a beautiful hike if you ignore the back pains, shin splints and calve cramps. It was a nice feeling of accomplisment to get to the top. Of course, my brother would have nothing to do with it and took the Gondola up with his 2 kids ... pansy.

Wireless Networks = free Internet access
I'm down in Van visiting my half-sister on my mother's side (who came from Edmonton for a band trip) and staying at my brothers. Everyone is at work right now, so I figured I'd play around the net a bit ... my bro has Telus DSL but it's in the bedrooms. Well, thanks to the 2 neighbors that don't secure their wireless networks, I don't have to run any wires from their rooms to the living room ... my laptop automatically pics up on these "free" access points.
My appartment building is even worse ... I can pic up 7 unsecured wireless networks ... another 3 are actually secure.

Need a vacation
Didn't make it back home after a stint at the bar last night till 11am this morning. I'm completely dead to the world and crashed for another couple hours.
I must get motivated and get to the gym, but I know i'm only kidding myself ... i got no motivation. I do need to put my car back on the road, tho ... too early in the year to risk a trip to Van on the bike. Also had to return Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory ... pretty disappointed that my graphics card isn't supported ... it's a decent enough 64 MB card, but I guess it's just not new enough.
I think I will write my report from the Search Engine Conference in New York last month ... no one seems to remember, but I should get it done anyway ... they paid a pretty penny for it.
Well, i should probably get started on my laundry and stuff before everyone comes over for poker night ...
