Return From Van

It was an interesting trip to Van. I met with my brother on the way down and he wants me to sign a contract for work I'm doing for him ... I've been in this business for 5 years and he's the only one that's asked for a contract ... what does that say about him?!
Anyway, had a really good meeting with my clients from Germany and the day progressed really well. I believe that this 'project' will be very successful.
I took them downtown to do a bit of shopping for their families and then we headed to the keg. Tracy was a great waitress (with a great ass!) and kept the clients entertained ... minor slipup by making fun of the German hockey team sucking it up, but I thought it was funny :).
We finished off the evening with a few drinks at Doolies (an Irish pub) and I took them back to the Delta Hotel at the airport. Since I didn't make any plans for a place to sleep and I never heard back from my friend Jen, I decided to drive home ... only took an hour and a half extra with the 4 or 5 naps, but I made it back by 5am.

0 - 2

Well, this was a bad week for sports. Our Softball team and our Ultimate Frisbee team lost both games.
For those that may think that Ultimate is a tame sport, you have never tried it. I think there is as much or more running in Ultimate than in soccer. However, I have to say I think it is the best non-competitive competitive sport out there. The people who play it are some of the most laid back and friendly people I have ever met playing any of these team sports. Usually you always end up w/ some A-hole who takes the game too seriously and ruines it for everyone ... so far, not in Ultimate. You have to put up with some pretty corny cheers and games at the end of the game, but if you are open minded, it's a blast.
Well, off to Kamloops and Van for the next couple days ... cheers,
Sean

Happy B-Day 2 me .. Happy b-day 2 me ...

Well, the last few days have been a blast ... did video-game night with the boys on Fri and a Ramoli night w/ everyone on Sat ... even got my favorite b-day gift in years ... a 2'6 of Bacardi ... yummi!

Sunday even had some entertainment with a member of 'A-squad' going on a date and just happened to wonder into the same place a few of us were having lunch. Of course, he avoided eye-contact at all costs so as not to get embarrased by us ... why wouldn't do that ... what am I talking about, of course we would. However, we decided that the awkwardness he felt coming through the door and the speed walk by us was enough entertainment for the day and we let him off easy.

Unfortunately, 2day, my actual b-day is going to be nothing special. Gotta head to Kamloops and Van for work in the next couple days, so I must bear-down at work ... not fun!

Day down the drain...

After working till 3:30am last night to get ahead in one of my major projects, I've done absolutely nothing today.

Spent half the morning talking to my friend Jalila in Morocco (my french really needs some brushing up) and then Steve ... who convinced me to download the trail version of Half Life 2 ... decent game. I like that you can interact with everything, but I hope the game was on easy because I walked through most of it without a problem. Got a little short on ammo half the time, but the gavity thingy-ma-bob made things interesting.

Now, time to see if my new speedometer cable works for the motorcycle and go for a spin ... too bad it wasn't a bit nicer outside.

... doh ... I'm an idiot

... hmmm ... my bad! I was making use of the User Agent Switcher in Firefox and was posing as a Googlebot ... I started getting messages on other sites and realized it was a bit much of a coincidence ... hehe ooops.

WTF Hotmail

So, I go into my hotmail account today with my ever-so-loved Firefox, and I get a message saying that I'm using an unsupported browser ... would I like to download IE now ... WTF!!! I can't even delete my messages now from the main screen.
The whole stupid part about it is that most people who are using alternative browsers are smart enough to know what MS is doing and are likely to lose even more customers ... intelligent ... I think not!!!
