Baseball over for another year
... I must cry myself to sleep these days. Another year of baseball has come and gone. The World Series was a far cry from Boston's big comeback against NY from 3 games to 0, to win 4-3. This year, CWS swept Houston ... I didn't really care who one this year, as neither time is anywhere near my favorite. However, I did feel that Chicago shouldn't win ... Houston played excellent games 2-4, but just couldn't produce the last final runs needed. Game 2: relief pitcher comes in and serves up a grand slam ... no recovery. Game 3: sets a WS record for longest game (5h+), but lose to a couple home runs in extra innings. They had left 1-2 guys on since the 9th inning but couldn't bring them home. Game 4: who cares! they lost. It looked like a good game, but, just like the previous 3, couldn't do shyt.
Maybe I'll return to my coaching post ... or maybe just indoor training. That might bring my spirits back up??
Or, maybe i'll just get shittered 2night. Got ourselves 15-18 ppl to go Cosmic Bowling ... but wait, that's not all ... 70's theme ... now it's a night.

I have an addiction
I have been in the denial stage for some time. But, it is becoming clear to me now. I have started to lie to my friends and skip out on what I used to think was fun just to enjoy my habit ... I am now completely embarressed and ashamed of myself.
It all started about a year ago when I was first introduced to it by my friend "Mike". Now, I didn't get hooked right away. In fact, I didn't even try it back then ... just thought it was cool, but was smart enough to stay away.
But, that all came to an end about 6-7 months later. My roommate, "Chris" became addicted and drew me in. I resisted at first, but after a couple weeks of watching him have so much fun, I caved.
I have to say, I have really enjoyed it. I won't even lie to myself that I can quit 'cold turkey', but I think I do have the will power to slowly quit. I managed to do it for 5 days a couple weeks ago, but since then, I have only made it to 2 days. This goal is going to be 2 weeks. If I can do that, then I know I can quit at any time ... God be with me.
Thanks for listening. If you have heard me at all, stay away from World of Warcraft. It'll ruin your life!!

The "look"
As you all are aware ... women have "the look", and it can make any guy crumple. however, you may or not be aware, but these lovely ladies have more than 1 look. What are they? you ask?? Well, it's the "i'm going to say 'I love you'", and the "i'm about to jump you" look.
Beware, as they are both dangerous given various circumstances.
ie. "I love you" look
You are seeing a girl for awhile (lets say 2 months). Things are going well and having a lot of fun, but it's summer time and you just aren't quite in the whole relationship mode. One day, out of no where, she gives you a blank stare like she has something on her mind, but doesn't quite come out and say anything. She make talk, but it just doesn't fit the look ... RUN!! The infamous words are coming and, if you are young, they can really mess you up, because you will naturally say "i love you too" ... wrong! Your dead! ... next?
ie2. "I'm gonna jump ya" look
This is relatively harmless and easy to get out of if you haven't drank too much (if you don't like her) and perfect if you do like her. However, there is one case where this isn't such a good thing ... she happens to have a boyfriend. Let's say you are good friends with this person and you know the boyfriend well enough that he can even trust you (and her). Now, you are out having a good time and one, or both parties are having a few drinks. Everyone is having a blast ... then, your friend kinda pauses for a sec, looks you in the eyes ... bang! there it is. PAUSE! Now, you have 2 options. Succumb to the booze and start gettin nasty on the dance floor (recommended only if the b/f is smaller than you or your friends outnumber his) ... or 2, smile and look away like you didn't notice. This is usually enough to ward it off for the time being ... RESUME PLAY! Well, what did you do? Did you make the honourable decision and lay off, or do what the A-Squad would do and jump her? ... good man!
